FAQ

You’re a veterinarian? Why writing?

Because I love it! I have enjoyed combining my interests in animals and the medical health fields as a vet, but I took things one step further by providing an outlet for my enjoyment of the persuasive, conversational writing style of copywriting. Given my background, being an animal health copywriter just fits.

What can I expect from working with you?

I’m a professional.

As a veterinarian, I adhere strictly to the expectations that my clients have for their pets’ care.

Likewise, I work on setting expectations with you right from the start, so that we can be on the same page about pricing, timeframe, and the content you’re looking for.

With my services, you will have not just a qualified copywriter, but a professional with thorough knowledge of many facets of the animal health field.

Do you do all the work yourself or do you outsource projects?

I do it all myself. Like I said, I enjoy writing.

What does it cost to hire you?

This is a hard question to answer as each project is different. In general, I charge professional rates, but for a more accurate estimate for a project, we’ll need to touch base. I do require a 50% deposit prior to beginning a project with the balance due on completion (to your satisfaction).

How long does it take for you to complete a project?

This is also a hard question to answer, because it depends on the project. Two weeks is an average turnaround time for most projects, but if you need something sooner, I can work with you, as long as the expectations are reasonable.

What is the process for completing a project?

Once you’ve contacted me, we touch base to discuss your project in detail, timeframe to complete it, and agree on a fee. I prefer to speak by phone when discussing everything initially, and use email for follow-ups.

When I’ve received your 50% deposit, I’ll start work right away. I’ll send my first draft to you for you to review and send back with any revision requests. I’ll make the necessary revisions and return it. When you’re satisfied with the final product (including further revisions if needed), submit the final balance and we’ll look forward to our next project together.
